The SYNLAB Group is the leading provider of medical diagnosis and clinical laboratory analysis services in Europe, both in revenue and in number of tests. This leadership has been built based on the values of passion, responsibility and focus on the client, offering a range of clinical analysis and laboratory services, as well as innovative, reliable diagnosis teststhat bring value to patients, physicians, clinics, and to the pharmaceutical industry.

SYNLAB offers a broad catalogue, with over 5,000 exams in all diagnostic areas, including genetic and anatomopathological tests and imaging diagnosis. Approximately 500 million exams for nearly 100 million processes are processed every year.

In 1998, SYNLAB was founded as an “association of physicians from independent laboratories” in Germany. The expansion of SYNLAB beyond Germany was fostered by significant acquisitions of other European laboratory service providers, such as Austria’s Futurelab and Italy’s Fleming Labs. In 2015, SYNLAB joined forces with the French laboratory Labco and, together, they became the European leader in providing medical diagnosis services.

With our scientific experience, an encompassing portfolio of diagnostic services, and the passion from our specialists, we offer wide-ranging diagnostic services to different areas of veterinary medicine: domestic pets, health in cattle raising, and exotic animals. We support the work from veterinaries, zoos, universities, research institutes, veterinary clinics, pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as insemination centers and breeders. In addition to the traditional microbiological and parasitological tests, we cover all aspects of clinical chemistry, hematology and immunology, as well as hormonal analyses and molecular biology.
